Low pressure over Scotland will move slowly northeastwards and fill during today, allowing a ridge of high pressure to build across the United Kingdom. Atlantic fronts will then approach northern and western areas later on Sunday.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney

24 hour forecast: Cyclonic, becoming northwest, 3 or 4, increasing 5 at times. Slight or moderate. Showers. Good, occasionally moderate.

Outlook:  Northwesterly, becoming variable, 3 or 4, then becoming southeasterly 5 or 6, occasionally 7 in north, then veering southwesterly 4 or 5 later. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough later in north. Showers at first, then rain later. Good, becoming moderate or poor later.

Rattray Head to Berwick upon Tweed - Strong winds are forecast
